While a bit of a wallflower by nature, Akari blossoms when she logs into Link VRAINS — though not in a good way. Under the username Malefica, Akari takes on a more playful but cruel demeanor, acting often as a bully to other players for her own benefit. After all, it’s all Virtual Reality — they can’t actually hurt her.

  Bright and cheerful, Yuma has a personality that's able to light up even the darkest city. He's known by most to be hasty, energetic, and expressive with a love for tackling any challenge, no matter how impossible the task my be. Sure, he's failed more times than he's come out on top, but his 'never say die' attitude leads to a stubborn persistence that usually lets him accomplish what he sets out to do.

  Yuma's social and outgoing, loving nothing more than to make friends with anyone he can spark up a conversation with, no matter who they are. He holds personal bonds close to his heart; especially the one he shares with his family, and treasures anyone he's managed to connect with. His parents are his role models, especially his father, who's adventurous spirit and positive attitude he's tried to keep alive despite their lengthy disappearance.

  While he's only thirteen, Yuma's already proved to be selfless and honest, often putting others ahead of himself if it means leaning them a hand. He's honed the skill of hiding his own problems, however, usually masking anything that bothers him with his typical confident smile for the sake of not dragging anyone else into his issues.
